Progressive electronic jazz duo Food – with British saxophonist Iain Ballamy and Norwegian drummer Thomas Strønen – added a touch of India to their music when they played with slide guitarist Prakash Sontakke recently in Bangalore. The performance was part of the Sontakke Global Music Festival, held in Bangalore as a tribute to Prakash’s parents Dr. R. B. Sontakke and Dr. Mani Sontakke, prominent educators of Hindustani music.
